A SECOND-HALF penalty save from Marek Stech was the turning point in Yeovil Town’s excellent 3-1 win at Brentford on Tuesday night in the npower League One.
The game was level at 1-1 when Stech saved a second-half penalty from Brentford sub Paul Hayes, who was making his debut for the Bees and was once a target for Glovers boss Gary Johnson in 2005 during his first tenure at Huish Park.
The save gave Yeovil a lift at a time when Brentford were causing problems and the Glovers went on to record a 3-1 success.
Johnson, speaking to the BBC, said: “I think the penalty save was the turning point, but we showed great resilience throughout and real composure at the end to pick our counter-attacks.”
