CHARD were wearing their new shirts for the first time provided by their kind sponsors Sarah and Paul from the Five Dials Inn at Horton.

The team were beaten on the day by a strong team from Wells, but they gained a consolation try scored by Angus Crouch.

There was some good tackling and driving from Ellis Taylor-White, Sam Norton, Tobi Cooper and Archie Bromfield.

There was also very good running with the ball from Oliver White and Freya Cropper.

Luke Young was a consistent kicker of the ball for the team, while there was some good support play from James Hobbs and Ashley Grey.

Although they were beaten the team showed great determination and are looking good for a promising end to the season.
