THIS very windy quarter final tie was evenly contested until two late first-half goals made it an uphill battle.
An early second-half goal made it 3-0, but Avishayes’ heads did not drop and they kept competing, however it shortly became 4-0.
Seemingly galvanised by a thumping shot and goal from outside the box from Sam Hollis, Avishayes continued to fight for every ball, with Dylan Gough, Callum Larcombe and Jake Sweet in particular showing themselves up for the battle.
Unfortunately Tone Youth scored again making it 5-1.
Avishayes kept going though and George Read headed the ball on to Louis Major who placed it low in to the net making it 5-2.
Moments later Major hit the bar amid a flurry of goalmouth incidents, but unfortunately no more goals were forthcoming for Avishayes, who can now concentrate on their league fixtures.
