PLUCKY Lyde played gamely on through the match, despite having only ten players.
Avishayes’ first goal was a fine header by Ollie Harris and the second a good shot from Ryan Scott.
The second half saw Avishayes put the game out of sight with goals from George Read, who put the ball over the keeper, Dylan Gough and a remarkable volley from Harris. Lyde then scored a consolation goal before Avishayes keeper Willis Lawrence swapped his jersey for an outfield shirt and volleyed the sixth goal for Avishayes.
This was Avishayes’ last league game, but the boys are eagerly waiting for next weekend’s Cup Final day at Huish Park.
