AVISHAYES Falcons played their final league match of the season against Lyde Locomotives at Yeovil Recreation Ground on Saturday.
They lost the previous encounter 6-3 back in October, so the Falcons had a point to prove.
They started strongly, putting the Locos under pressure immediately and Christopher Hollick scored the Falcons opener within five minutes.
Locos came back at them but Adam Veitch added a second Falcons goal mid-way through the first half. Locos efforts to get back into contention were eventually rewarded with a goal to make it 2-1 at half-time.
Falcons kept the pressure on Locos throughout the second-half and became more and more dominant, Hollick added two more goals to his tally to chalk up yet another hat-trick and Matthew Quayle put the lid on any possible Locos recovery with goal number five in the final minutes of play.
If there are any Under-10/Year Five boys or girls out there who are interested in playing for Avishayes Falcons please contact the team captain Richard Young on 01460-53769 or mobile 07816-97376.
