Ilminster Cricket Club have avoided relegation despite a narrow home defeat to Clevedon on the final day of the season.
The club finished in eighth place in WEPL Prem 2 Bristol/Somerset, 11 points clear of Taunton Dean and Wellington.
Having won the toss, Clevedon put Ilminster in to bat and took their first wicket after just two balls when Riley Millett was out.
Lachlan Rice, Jonny Warry and Sam Spurway steadied the ship in the middle order with captain Spurway scoring 69 runs off 72 balls.
The tailender did not offer a huge resistance but Ilminster reached 228-9 from their 50 overs.
Clevedon made a rocky start when their opener Louie Woodlands was out in the fourth over but first Sean Dickson with 32 and later Tyler Leaman with 99 runs and Jacob Ward with 43 runs took the game away from Ilminster.
Clevedon finished on 230-6 from 45.4 overs sealing the victory.
