Chard Town Reserves continued their preparations for the new season with a resounding 7-0 win over Yeovil and District side Tor FC on Friday (July 19).

Chard were ahead on 10 minutes at Zembard Lane when Jamie Crouch scored and went into the break 2-0 up after a goal in the 39th minute by Luis Nightingill.

Five goals came in the second half with Crouch rounding off the scoring in the 90th minute.

This came three days after the first XI were also involved in a seven-goal game, defeating Wessex League Premier Division side Wincanton 4-3 at home.

Chard opened the scoring one three minutes when James Boyland scored but Wincanton equalised on 20 minutes.

After a mazey dribble and finish by Owen Ford, Chard were back in front. The lead was extended on 28 minutes when Boyland added his second and it was 3-1 at half time.

Two goals for Wincanton in the opening nine minutes of the second half pulled the game level, but Chard scored the winner 14 minutes from full time.
