ILMINSTER Bowling Club star player Jamie Chestney celebrated a milestone for England at the weekend.
He played in his 50th cap for the English Indoor Bowling Association team in the BIIBC Men’s International Series 2024.
To cap it off, England won the competition and were crowned the 2024 champions.
A spokesperson from England Bowls said: "Congratulations to Jamie Chestney and Neil McKee, who yesterday, both played their 50th International Cap for Team England."
And a representative from Ilminster Bowling Club added: "Congratulations to Ilminster’s Jamie Chestney on reaching his 50th cap for English Indoor Bowling Association.
"Here is to the next 50 caps and more honours in the future. The club are extremely proud."
It wasn't just Jamie who was there competing representing Ilminster as he was joined by Louis Ridout and Perry Martin.
The club said: "Ilminster's Louis Ridout, Jamie Chestney & Perry Martin will all be playing against Scotland , Wales & Ireland at Falcon BC in Chelmsford. We are very proud."
