West Women's Sedgemoor Division: Chard Ladies XI 0-1 Sidmouth and Ottery
Chard arrived optimistic if not a little lethargic, hopeful for some consolation points ahead of their imminent relegation.
A short time into the first half the opposition made the most of a well positioned player on the back post to score from a short corner.
Chard battled hard and made some good attacks on the opposition D but sadly could not get the goal.
The second half saw a determined chard make use of the wings, some lovely passing play and some great runs, but the goal still did not come.
Chard look forward to a trip to Exeter next week where we will try and enjoy their final game before celebrating the end of a challenging season.
Player of the match was awarded to the ever solid Misha Taylor in defence.
Elsewhere, Chard Hockey Men first team won 0-6 away from home against Bristol Firebrands and the Seconds lost at home to Taunton Vale, 0-1.
