Mid Somerset 0-4 Chard Hockey Club Firsts
CHARD Hockey Club travelled to Mid Somerset with the aim to improve their passing game and off ball movement and that they did.
Chard started off the half applying pressure to the home side & forcing mistakes.
This led to several attempts on goal from Eggle, Parris & Handscomb but to no avail, with ball being attracted to keeper pads.
They were eventually rewarded with Issac P taping in on the right hand post. 1 nil half time.
Second half started much the same visitors pressing the home side and soon the second goal came well deserved from Ollie Bartlett.
Not long after the third came from Joel Handscomb after a good passing manoeuvre and the ball getting slipped to Joel on the left post for a simple tap in to beat a misplaced keeper.
Tireless work from the halves of Jasper Clements & Ollie Bartlett down the wings, & George Criddle, George Parris in the middle.
The final goal coming from moving the ball around the back and to George Criddle to finish it off. The last 10mins seen the debut for Archie Parris to edge him in to the big game.
If Chard carry on next week where they left off as they host bottom of table Bridgwater 4s, should be a good game for supporters.
