FOUR Ilminster Bowling Club players have been selected for respective England squads for 2024.
First up, in the England Men's International squad for 2024, Louis Ridout, Jamie Chestney and Perry Martin have all been selected.
The trio's selection for England highlights the strength behind Ilminster Bowling Club's men's section.
On top of that, Kirsty Hembrow has been selected for the England Women's International squad for 2024.
A club spokesperson said: "Congratulations to Ilminster’s Louis Ridout, Jamie Chestney and Perry Martin who have been selected for the England International Team.
"Congratulations also to Kirsty Hembrow who has been selected for the Ladies International Team.
"Congratulations from all of us at Ilminster and representing the club at this level."
In other news at the club, Ilminster's Oli Collins was honoured at the Bowls England awards dinner late last month.
He had a fantastic year and ended up winning the Under 25s National Pairs with Liam White from Bristol and was also runner up in the Under 25 singles.
