SEVENTEEN pairs of golfers entered the fourth leg of the Winter League competition on Monday at Cricket St Thomas GC.
In conditions which favoured the pairings, some impressive scores were returned. Clive Fisk & Jerry Blackburn were declared winners with 46 points.
This was matched by Martin Bargery & Peter Spencer-Farr, but succeeded by having a better back 9.
On Wednesday, the seniors held a 3 man "Reverse Waltz" competition whereby all team members had to contribute on 6 holes. In a close finish, only one point separated the first three sides, Winners with 81 points were Peter Spencer-Farr; Jim Laughlan & Keith Hunt.
43 members of the senior section entered the monthly stableford competition on Friday. In Division 1, Dave Mugridge returned a score of 39 points to win over Danny Dowell (39 points) by virtue of a better back 9. Mark Cording secured third place with 38 points.
In Division 2, James Siabi was the clear winner with 38 points, beating Jim Laughlan (37 points) into second place. Roger Davis was third with 36 points
In Division 3, Clive Fisk was the clear winner with 40 points. Roger Withers was runner up (38 points) and Ian Frost took third place (36 points).
