SEVEN bowlers from Ilminster Bowling Club have been selected for the England International trials coming up in December.
The selection means these players will now travel with the England trial squad to try and secure a place in the final squad.
Selected for the Women’s Trial squad was Kirsty Hembrow, who will also form a part of the Women's U25 selection committee.
Selected in the Women’s Under 25 Trial squad was Shannon Crouch.
In the Men’s Under 25 Trial squad, Oli Collins will take part for the first time in his career.
And finally, four Ilminster players have been chosen in the Mens Senior Trial squad.
They are Louis Ridout, Perry Martin, Jamie Chestney and Levi Hembrow.
A spokesperson from Ilminster Bowling Club said: "Congratulations to all the Ilminster bowlers who have been selected for the England International trials on Saturday 2nd & Sunday 3rd December.
"Congratulations to you all and to Oli Collins & Levi Hembrow both reaching the trial stage for the first time. Both are non travelling reserves at this time.
"The club are proud of all your success and thanks to you all for representing the club at this level."
On top of the individual accolades, Ilminster Bowling & Tennis Club are Club Awards finalists 2023 for the England Bowling Association Awards.
The club has been nominated in two categories this year and will now head to the event in Leicester later this month to see if they have won.
"We are looking forward to the awards ceremony on Wednesday 22nd Nov in Leicester," a spokesperson said.

In other news at the club, they are set to host some Ilminster Indoor Bowls Open Taster Evenings in December.
On Monday, December 18 and Tuesday, December 19, the sessions will run from 6pm - 8pm.
The club said: "Ilminster are now preparing to start indoor bowls and welcome everyone to come and try bowls at our open taster session .
"Come and learn the basics under guidance from our club coaches. If you would like to get involved and play turn up on the day and enjoy bowls with Ilminster."
