ILMINSTER Indoor Bowls staged two very successful Open Days at the weekend.
On Saturday and Sunday, upwards of fifty new players came to the club to try the sport and learn what the club is all about.
A spokesperson from the club said: "The club would like to thank everyone who came to try bowls today and also all the volunteers who support this with the club coaches.
"Again a fantastic turn out and to have a great opportunity to meet so many people."
In other news, the Indoor Bowls team have welcomed six new members to the club for the coming indoor season.
Ilminster are welcoming back Louis Ridout to Ilminster after 10 years away playing at Torquay United.
Jamie Chestney joins from Exonia with Jamie bring international and national championships honours as well as indoor world titles in the pairs and mixed pairs and is currently an England international.
They are also joined by Perry Martin from Dolphin this season.
Ilminster are also excited to announce that a trio from Taunton BC will be joining Ilminster this year with James Amery, Simon Barnard & Dan Winmill making a move to Ilminster.
