On Thursday, the Saints senior match team travelled to Axe Cliff hoping for revenge for their 5 - 1 defeat in the home fixture.
They were greeted by a downpour, but the green staff did a good job of mopping up before play could begin. Jim Lauchlan and partner won the first game to put CST one up.
Mark Cording & John Baker lost 6 & 4 in the second game. When Ian Thompson & James Siabi lost by 2 holes at game three, and Roger Withers & Dave Asquith could only half at game four, the omens were bleak. However,
Chris Gingell & Derek Gardener won game five by 2 holes to square the match and Dave Mugridge & John Pearce won game six by 2 holes and the Saints team won by 3 1/2 - 2 1/2.
The Seniors completed their week on Friday with a three ball Bowmaker competition. Thirteen teams took part, and the combination of Barrie Heath; Bob Dennett & Richard Holmes won the day with a combined 79 points.
Rod Young; Roger Davis & Ian Hildred came second with 76 points. Bill Hilson; Roger Stone & Bob Rees were third, one point behind on 75 points.
