ON Monday, 40 members of the senior section of Cricket St Thomas Golf Club entered the annual "Battle of Britain" trophy.
This individual stableford competition is a charity event which raised £80 for the RAF Benevolent Society.
In a very tight finish, Keith Hunt was the winner with 42 points.
There was a three way tie for runner up, with Danny Dowell, Ian Frost and James Sibi all finishing with 41 points.
The Wednesday tournament was a three man Yellow ball competition. Of the teams managing to retain the yellow ball, Barry Keates, Mark Sanders & Mark Haskins were declared the winners with a total of 121 points.
Two points behind, on 119 points were Stuart Sutcliffe, Ian Hildred & Mark Kilpatrick.
The seniors completed their week on Friday with a 3 man Bowmaker competition.
Runaway winners were Jerry Blackburn, Ian Frost and Dennis Hussey with 83 points. Nick Gabb, Jim Laughland & Keith Hunt wererunners up with 77 points.
