FORTY members of the senior section of Cricket St Thomas Golf club entered the 4 man stableford competition on Monday.
This format produces some high scores and the 116 points carded by Richard Forster; Dave Mugridge; Mark Cording and Martyn Jewell was enough to clinch the victory by 2 points over their nearest rivals led by Brian Marsh.
On Wednesday, Richard Holmes completed his 400 hole challenge in order to raise funds for the MND charity which he started last month. His final hole realised a total of £1310 donated towards the charity,
51 members of the senior section attended the annual CST Cub championship on Friday. This competition is split into a scratch competition and a handicap competition.
There was a competitive finish in the scratch event with Danny Dowell declared the club champion with a gross 73, beating Martyn Hartley (74) who was last years winner.
Steve Holt and Brian Marsh both returned scores of net 63 in the handicap event with the former winning the trophy by virtue of a better back 9.
