A BUSY week at Cricket St Thomas golf club began on Monday with a combined Seniors and Ladies Summer Sizzler competition.
Winners of this bowmaker competition were the trio of Jan Warner Booth, Keith Branchflower & Dennis Hussey with 86 points. In second place were Emma Hilton, Mark Cording & Barrie Heath with 84 points,
On Tuesday the seniors match team travelled to Weymouth for the second round of the Knighton Heath trophy. The teams were all square after three games, but the CST triumphed in all the last seven games to win by 8 1/2 - 1 1/2.
On Wednesday, the seniors held their July stableford competition where 45 members took part.
In Division 1, Keith Hunt took th honours with 43 points with Dave Mugridge in second place with 42 points. Chris Basterfield won Division 2 with 41 points, Doug Oliver and Bob Rees sharing second place on 39 points.
The standout player of the day was Eric Williams who won Division 3 with an outstanding round of 14 under par, 50 points. Second place, on 36 points was Brian Marsh.
The seniors finished their week on Friday with a 2 from 3 stableford event, James Siabi led his trio to victory with an impressive 92 points with Terry Hackling's team second on 89 points.
