ON A warm and muggy Monday, the Cricket St Thomas Seniors match team travelled to the Honiton golf club to play a friendly match.
Peter Spencer-Farr captained the team and set the pace with a 3 & 2 win with his partner in game 1.
The Williams/Gingell pairing won game 2 and after a loss in game 3, there followed two wins and a half to see the Cricket St Thomas team win by 41/2 - 11/2.
On Wednesday, the seniors held their June monthly medal. The conducive weather combined with true greens enabled the golfers to return some good scores.
In Division 1, there was a tie for first place with both Rutherford and Mugridge returning scores of 4 under par, 64 with Cording inn third place with nett 66.
The best score of the day was recorded by Leigh who took the Division 2 title with a brilliant nett 60. beating his nearest rival, Gabb, by 4 strokes.
Heath finished third with nett 65, In division 3, Hunt won with nett 65. Hackling came second with nett 70.
36 senior members entered the bowmaker competition on Friday. The in form Derek Gardener captained his team to victory with 87 points.
