THE indoor bowls season has come to an end for Ilminster Bowling and Tennis Club and it was another year of history.
First off, the club congratulated Kirsty Hembrow on winning the British Isles Ladies Singles competition.
She followed that up by winning the National Mixed Pairs with her brother Levi.
Ilminster’s Chris Robinson, Mark Denslow, Kevin Hamilton and Will Anderson reached the semi final of the over 60s fours competition.
On a club level Ilminster men won the Somerset double rink and reached the last 16 of the Wessex League for the second season running.
And Ilminster ladies Kirsty, Debbie and Sam won the Somerset county triples.
A spokesperson from the club said: "This year we have also seen lots of new members to the club getting involved in county league games and also playing in league teams.
"This means the future is strong and we can continue to support everyone playing bowls.
"Thanks must go to all the members who play in all the leagues and competitions , without you all we don’t have a bowls club."
