Chard Ladies 1st 1-7 ECVH 1st
IT was always going to be a tough match for Chard Ladies Firsts as they took on top of the league ECVH, and the scoreline showed.
Chard started the game well, with some lovely passing and moving throughout the pitch.
However, ECVH then got into the game and placed more pressure on Chard's defensive line of EJ Hines, Jade Dunning, Evs Churchill and Lois Butcher.
They managed to get a 4-0 lead by half-time following some fantastic strikes at goal.
Chard didn't let their heads drop and continued battling in the second half. Chard Ladies got their only goal of the game when Misha Taylor saw some space and passed a lovely ball through for Amy Goss who struck the ball into the left hand corner.
Kerryn Mullis had the chance to make it 2 goals for Chard, but the ECVH keeper was there to clear the ball before she got her shot away.
The match ended 1-7 to ECVH and could have been more if not for Hannah McGowan's performance in goal.
