THE finalists for the Challenge Cup 2022/23 have been confirmed after both semi-finals took place at the weekend.
In the first semi, Forton Rangers First were victorious over Combe St Nicholas Reserves 4-2 at home.
In that match, both sides had periods of dominance but it was the hosts who did enough to get over the line and progress.
A spokesperson from the club said: "After all rounds have been played it see’s the league leaders edge out Combe F.C in one semi go head to head against rivals South Petherton after they saw out Halstock in the other semi."
In the other match, South Petherton narrowly overcame the challenge of Halstock, winning 3-2 at home.
The Petherton side join Forton Rangers after an impressive display although it has to be said it was a narrow battle with Halstock.
Nick Mortimer scored twice for South Petherton and Jack White grabbed the other goal.
The final will take place at Forton Rangers ground on April 7.
