Wells 2nds 6 Chard 2nds 27
Even though the club are suffering from the loss of several players recovering from knocks, Chard were still able to put out a very competitive side and got back to winning ways with a comfortable victory at Wells.
The first half was fairly evenly contested with a try from Billy Vernon being their only score.
However after the interval the much changed Chard side had really settled down and went on to score a further 22 points.
Vernon got a second try and also kicked a penalty goal as well as two conversions. Chard’s other points came from tries scored by Luke Carslake and Stuart Sherrin.
Next Saturday the 2nd XV are at home to Bridgwater with the kick off expected to be at 2pm.
