RUNNERS across the South West took part in the Lemur Loop race at the weekend.
The Lemur Loop is a gruelling 12 hour race and is also run along side an Anytime 10km run.
The event returned to Cricket St Thomas, Nr Chard on Saturday, November 12.
The event organisers said after the race: "Congratulations to our Lemur Loopers. You were the smiliest, leapiest and loopiest bunch around.
"Thank you for coming along with all your energy and big smiles.
"Finally, the biggest thank you to all our volunteers and marshals. You wouldn't believe how many people comment on how great you are."
One runner said in their review: "Beautiful but brutal course! Great atmosphere and marshals.
"If you love trail running and you love pushing yourself you will love this event! My first go at a 12 hour race and I was completely in my element.
"It really is a very well put together event. You can walk it and you can take it as easy as you like."
