Chard Firsts 0-0 Sidmouth & Ottery
A quite uneventful game away at Sidmouth for the Chard Hockey Club women's first team. A very even game, with a draw being the fair result.
Kate Phillips had the chance to win it for Chard in the final few minutes, but her shot went narrowly wide.
Seven different players were voted for player of the match, with Lola Saxby winning the vote.

Chard ladies 2’s 0 -1 Exe
The ladies seconds travelled to Exeter on an early rainy morning. It was always going to be a tough match with one of the back 4 injured.
The game started well with lots of attacking play and a couple of short corners to reward the effort, although unable to convert.
The first half ended 0-0 with brilliant play from everyone and working well as a team.
The 2nd half started well again with play in their D, and shots on goal. Unfortunately the opposition broke and 3 on 1 they scored a well worked goal.
Chard kept their heads high and kept battling for the ball, with good triangles from the attacking four and linking with midfield.
The team played brilliantly together, lots of positve play, with lots of potential to improve, the future looks very bright for the ladies 2s.
Man of the match goes to Sophie for brilliant tackling, although the paniked scream half way through was hilarious.
Squad: Alice Gibbons GK, Sophie Dyer, Rachel Churchill, Claire Winters, katy Jones, Julie Saxby, Rachel Derham, Lila Churchill, Marcie Russel, Layla Anderson, Emma Palmer, Arabella Rossiter
