Bridgwater Ladies Seconds 0-3 Chard Ladies Firsts
IN some very windy conditions Chard were too good for Bridgwater, taking all the points in a three goal victory.
Hannah Dare started the scoring early in the first half for Chard; she showed some individual skills to beat onrushing defenders to score.
Bridgwater fought back at the end of the first half and in fact were the better team at the start of the second period.
Hannah McGowan in goal for Chard stood tall and made a number of saves.
Deep into the second half, Chard doubled their lead from a short corner strike from Lois Butcher and then went onto secure the victory with a goal from Kerryn Mullis, assisted by Sophie Gibbins.
Chard are now safe from relegation this season and play Taunton Vale at home next Saturday in their final match.
The Bridgwater ladies second team travel to face ECVH next weekend away from home.
