AHEAD of tomorrow’s Euro 2020 match between England and Scotland, the ambulance service has released a warning.
The video features Ed Hill, Lead Paramedic for South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust.
Talking about the noticeable rise in 999 calls around the time of big events, such as high-profile sports matches, he explains how it can have a significant impact on the length of time some people may need to wait for an ambulance response.
They are asking supporters to drink alcohol responsibly, look after friends and loved ones, and stay protection and hydrated in warm weather.
