CHARD Swimming Clubs’ 12 and under juniors recorded 26 personal best times when finishing a commendable sixth in the final round of the Southern Junior League in Bournemouth.
And the haul may well have been greater had the team not been depleted by illness and other commitments.
Those recording top three positions were: first places – Millie Downes 10 years, 50m breaststroke; Xanthe Dyer 12 years, 50m breaststroke; Harriet Copeman 10 years, 50m freestyle; Grace Lambert 9 years, 50m butterfly.
Second place – Jimmy Brett 10 years, 50m backstroke.
Third places – Maddie Veevers 9 years, 50m breaststroke; Grace Lambert 9 years, 50m backstroke.
The 10 year girls finished first in their freestyle relay and second in the medley while the 9 year girls finished second in their medley relay.
The 9 year boys team achieved third place in both their relays.
