ILMINSTER men’s nomination final saw Rocky’s Rollers take the Graham Rowley Cup for the first time by beating the Hatch Beagles.
The match, played at the Wyndham Arms, Ilton, saw the Beagles take the early initiative to lead by 29 pins after four hands.
But they only picked up 59 on the final two hands to let the Rollers back in.
Skipper Ian Finlay finished on a nine (15) spare in his top score of 50 as the Rollers pulled back 50 pins on their last two hands.
The highest scorer for the Beagles was also their skipper, with 43 including a 13 spare. Ian Miller of the Nomads received the Ken Grainger memorial cup for the highest individual nomination score of 74.
Chairman Mike Drayton presented the trophies and marked the board while Jordan Priddle and Connor Miller were stickers-up.
