BISHOP'S Hull-based St Margaret's Hospice is urging its supporters to get active next month to help boost the charity's fundraising efforts.
It is challenging people to take part in its Marathon Month initiative throughout October.
Entry is free and participants need to complete 26.2 miles at their own pace - walking, running or jogging.
They will be expected to raise sponsorship through their efforts.
Entry is free and registration includes a fundraising page where you can track your progress as you go to share with friends and family.
The sum of £26 - or £1 a mile in sponsorship - could pay for an hour’s support to a family member at home with one of the charity's patients from an Adviceline nurse.
And if you raise over £150 you can claim a free St Margaret’s running vest.
It is still not too late to sign up.
