A MEMBER of the public has sent us these pictures of flytipping in a beautiful lane in Yeovil.
The man, who does not wish to be named, spotted more than 20 tyres dumped at the foot of a hedge at the roadside in Stone Lane.
He also came across an official DVLA clamp at the same location.
"Flytipping around Yeovil is on an industrial scale now," he said.
"The tyres are all really worn and some of them are almost totally bald.
"This isn't someone turning up with a couple of tyres in their boot and leaving them at the side of the road.
"And it's easy to trace where the clamp has come from as it had a number on it, so the DVLA will know which vehicle it had been attached to."
He said there was evidence of three crimes being committed with the clamp - firstly, it was cut off the vehicle and damaged; secondly it was removed; and thirdly it was flytipped.
"Flytipping in Yeovil has got out of hand now," said the man.
