FOUR people were injured in a collision involving a bus and a car.
One person had to be cut free after becoming trapped in the car.
And three passengers on the bus were described as "walking wounded".
Police, firefighters and paramedics attended the incident in Kingsdon, near Somerton.
The collision took place at around 6.45pm yesterday (Thursday, February 17).
A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said crews from Yeovil, Martock and Somerton Fire Stations attended.
The spokesperson added: "We took a call from the police asking for our assistance with a road traffic collision involving a bus and a car.
"Three fire engines and a heavy rescue unit were sent.
"On arrival crews confirmed that one person was still trapped in the car and three walking wounded from the bus.
"Crews released the casualty with hydraulic cutting equipment, and they were conveyed to hospital via ambulance."
