POLICE have seized two BB guns from pupils at a school in South Somerset.

Officers from the Wincanton Neighbourhood Policing team attended the school on their patch earlier.

A spokesperson for South Somerset Neighbourhood Policing said: "These guns are made to look real and can be hard to distinguish the difference between real and fake.

"If you are found to have one on you then it will be treated as a real firearm until proven otherwise.

"Please be aware of this if you do own one.
