MOTORISTS in Somerset are being warned to drive carefully this morning (Thursday, January 13) as a swathe of fog envelops parts of the county.
Patches of fog formed over the county and other parts of the region overnight.
The MetOffice says they will be "slow to clear in places" and could lead to some travel disruption.
The office has issued a yellow fog warning until 11am.
What motorists in Somerset hit by fog could expect this morning:
- Slower journey times with delays to bus and train services possible;
- Difficult driving conditions with rapid changes to the visibility along routes possible;
- There is a chance of delays or cancellations to flights.
Apart from the early fog, it looks as though we're in for a fine day, with sun forecast throughout the day.
