A WOMAN who took early retirement at the age of 40 is in the national final of a modelling competition.
Amber Jefferson has already been chosen as Miss Somerset Elegance for 2020/21,
She's now competing against 49 other women in the Miss British Isles Elegance 2020/21 final in at Chester Racecourse over four days in September.
Amber, who worked in accounts for 20 years before unplugging her calculator, stands in line to grab prizes worth more than £10,000 if she wins the title.
Among the goodies she'd receive would be a modelling and influencer contract, a trip to Marbella, sightseeing and a photoshoot in Gibraltar.
She'd also be given the Miss British Isles Elegance crown for keeps, take part in four further shoots during the year, receive fashion wear and official gifts and merchandise and appearance clothes.
Amber, who is married to Glenn and has two daughters, Scarlett, 21, who works as a chef in London, and Ruby, eight.
Her hobbies include keeping fit at the gym and spending time with her family.
Before the final, she will take part in a professional photoshoot and then take part in a catwalk show in front of a panel of judges on the big day.
On social media, Amber says she has acted in films, been a model and a TV and radio presenter.
Previous winners of Miss British Isles events have gone on to be signed by top modelling agencies, taken part in major TV shows and even appeared in a Bollywood film.
