THERE'S a ray of hope for those of us hoping to get to the beach on the August bank holiday.
The Met Office is predicting brighter and drier weather for Somerset and the wider South West towards the end of the month, with temperatures "slightly above average".
But forecasters are warning it's too earlier to be 100 per cent sure.
As for the immediate future, we can expect more settled and drier conditions next week.
