EMERGENCY services were called to a 'medical incident and single vehicle collision' outside a care home this morning (July 13).
Sadly, a man was pronounced dead at the scene and his next of kin have been informed.
Police and ambulance crews, as well as an air ambulance, attended the incident around 8.30am outside Immacolata Care Home in Langport.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: "We were called at about 8.35am this morning regarding a medical incident and single-vehicle collision off Portway, Langport.
"A male was pronounced dead at the scene.
"Formal identification has not yet taken place but his next of kin have been informed.
"Work to recover the vehicle is ongoing. We'll continue to conduct enquiries on behalf of the coroner."
A spokesperson for South West Ambulance Service said they were called to 'an incident outside an address in Portway, Langport' at 8.26am.
"We sent various resources to attend the incident," the spokesperson added.
The care home, in Portway, is run by Notaro Care Homes.
