Former Little Mix star Jesy Nelson said there is “no bad blood” between her and her ex-bandmates.
The singer, 30, who left the girl band in December after nine years, said she was still not on speaking terms with any of her bandmates, including Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall.
However, she said she shared “the most incredible memories” with the girls and that their relationship “needs to take time”.
Nelson was speaking on the Graham Norton show, which airs tonight, where she was performing her debut solo track Boyz.
She released Boyz, featuring US rapper Nicki Minaj, in early October which prompted accusations of blackfishing.
She was forced to apologise after the music video was released and denied using fake tan to make her skin tone appear darker.
Talking about her ex-bandmates, Nelson said that she wished them the best for the future.
“We’re not talking anymore. It is sad but honestly there is no bad blood from my side, and I still love them to pieces and genuinely wish them all the best,” she said.
“I loved my time with them, and we’ve got the most incredible memories together, but it’s just one of those things which needs to take time, so who knows.
“To me they are still the sickest girl band in the world.”
She also said she was hoping to bring out a new album next year: “I’m still in the writing process and I don’t want to rush things.”
The girl group have sold more than 50 million records worldwide after winning X Factor in 2011.
Nelson announced she was leaving the band in 2020, blaming the toll that being in the band had taken on her mental health.
