HERNE View Primary School in Ilminster held a non-uniform day today to support Children in Need and raised over £300 in total.
As a school, the staff, parent and student community came together for a non-uniform day and gave children and staff the choice to come in own clothes, wear something Pudsey related, dress in spots clothes or their school uniform.
Children came in their own clothes with many choosing something spotty or Pudsey themed to show their support of the Children in Need charity that supports children nationwide.
Overall, the school expected to raise £150, however the final figure raised was almost double that at £311.81.
“As a school, Children in Need resonates with us all as a charity as we work day in and day out with children and we see firsthand how much support matters in shaping children’s futures,” a staff spokesperson said.
“I enjoy supporting Children in Need because it helps other people to get better and live better lives,” Leon in year six added happily.
