Herne View Primary School in Ilminster has been awarded the Gold Award.
This comes after a two-year collaboration with the Skills Builder Partnership, aimed at helping pupils master eight essential life skills.
These include listening, speaking, problem-solving, creativity, staying positive, aiming high, leadership, and teamwork.
The initiative, led by Year 4 teacher Miss Swinson, involved the entire school in project days, curriculum-linked activities, career weeks, and weekly peer-nominated awards.
Ideas were also shared with families via newsletters and parent/carer apps.
Headteacher Claire Oaten said: "The Skills Builder programme has been very valuable in so many ways for our pupils and continues to help them grow as confident individuals who understand how to work well with others and develop resilience.
"As a school, we value our pupils developing as well-rounded individuals and Skills Builder is a vital part of this.
"We are very proud of everyone’s efforts to achieve the Gold Award and especially to Miss Swinson for her leadership and enthusiasm."
The school plans to continue its work with the Skills Builder Partnership, ensuring that pupils continue to develop these essential skills for life and future careers.
