Year 4 children at Herne View Primary in Ilminster took part in the annual school play this week and organisers say 'What a triumph it was.'
The musical comedy 'Porridge' brought spoonfuls of sparkling songs and bowlfuls of belly-laughs to The Warehouse Theatre. Catchy tunes, fun dance routines, cheesy jokes and a comedy cow were the perfect ingredients for a brilliant production.
Feedback from families was hugely positive, with lots saying it was incredible and that the children really shone. For many of the children, it was their stage debut and hopefully it has provided memories they will cherish forever.
Headteacher Claire Oaten had this to say about the play: "The production has definitely showcased some up-and-coming stars of the future.
"Our thanks go to the Warehouse Theatre and to Miss Swinson, Mr Lewis and all the staff for supporting the children in this learning activity."
