A PERSON was taken to hospital after a three-vehicle crash on the A358 near Ilminster yesterday afternoon (Wednesday, December 7).
The collision took place at the junction with Broadway Street and Cad Road at around 2.40pm and police said the person sustained injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
An Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at 2.40pm on Wednesday, December 6, to reports of a collision on the A358 at the junction with Broadway Street and Cad Road, near Ilminster.
“Three vehicles were involved - A Skoda Yeti, a Porsche Boxter, and a VW Crafter van.
“The A358 was closed between Cad Road and Southfields roundabout.
“Police and ambulance crews attended and one person went to hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing. Their family are aware.”
The Ilminster-bound carriageway and the Taunton-bound carriageway reopened around 5pm.
