A SOUTH Somerset village will roll back the centuries to celebrate the festive season.
All Saints Church in Lopen will be the venue for an atmospheric Candlelit Medieval Christmas on Saturday, December 2, with early music consort Sine Nomine.
Sine Nomine are well known for their performances on a wide variety of medieval instruments from psalteries and lyres to crumhorns and gemshorns.
Their concert at Lopen will feature a selection of festive tunes from the medieval period, filling the candlelit church with music, and there will also be some carols for everyone to join in with.
The evening will begin at 7.30pm and the programme will last for just over an hour with no interval.
Mulled wine and soft drink will be available from 7pm for audience members to enjoy during the concert.
Tickets are £10 from info@jonathandelbridge.com or 01460 240025 and have already been selling quickly, so booking early is advisable to avoid disappointment.
Proceeds from the concert will be split equally between the church funds and ShelterBox.
