THE Ilminster Christmas Lights Committee will hold a coffee morning to raise funds for the switch-on event.
The coffee morning will take place in the Market House on Saturday, October 28, from 10am until 12.30pm
The event will also feature a prize draw.
Ilminster Christmas Lights switch-on will take place on November 24 and will also feature the return of the large Christmas Tree.
Talking about the event, Matt Sainsbury, from the Ilminster Christmas Lights Committee, said: “This year we are re-introducing the large Christmas Tree in the town centre that has not been seen for around 20 years.
“It was removed back around 2003 due to continued vandalism. We have had many discussions around it and this year sees its return at around 20 feet tall and fully illuminated, it should add something extra to the town centre.”
