A THEATRE in Ilminster is getting ready to start this year’s new season with a play from the town’s entertainment society.
A man with amnesia is at the centre of Ilminster Entertainments Society’s opening play for this year’s season with ‘Forget Me Knot’.
The play, by renowned comedy writer David Tristram, is seen as the funniest play written by the playwright and has twists and turns that make it one of his most engaging too.
The cast are amongst the most experienced and talented at the IES with David Goodall as the competent, or incompetent, inspector Monroe depending on your opinion, Mick Glynn as someone with amnesia who may be Robert Zeinfeld but then, he may not be, Clare Brett as Julia who is definitely Robert’s wife but is that whom the inspector has in custody?
And Lois Parsons as Samantha who may be related to someone, but who? And does it matter to the Inspector who is leading the investigation?
With all the shenanigans, the newly appointed inspector Monroe is definitely under pressure to find out the true identity of the man found wandering the streets of Leicester at 4.00am.
Director of the play Irene Glynn said: “Dave, Clare, Mick, and Lois have been rehearsing earnestly all summer is worthy of a hearty audience.
“It will surely be a crime to miss this uncontrollably funny play”.
Performances at the Warehouse Theatre in Ilminster run from September 6 to September 9 and all are welcome.
