AN AWARD-winning Ilminster florist won a trophy at Taunton Flower Show last week.
Cottage Flowers, which is based in Jordans Courtyard in Horton Cross, won the Beggars Roost Plants Cup for the Best Stand in the Plant Village.
Angie Blackwell, who was in Taunton for the flower show last weekend, said: “It’s amazing, we are absolutely delighted.
“It was a really good show to be part of and we met a lot of lovely people. I could tell them about my ornamental garden built two years ago. We had a really good time.
“We haven’t been since before Covid. Covid put a hold on everything and it’s very nice to get back to normal.
“We were asked if we would like to go, and we were delighted. “We were very excited to go, everyone loved our stand.
“I bought some plants myself and the show was excellent.”
Cottage Flowers has been in Ilminster as a florist for 28 years.
Two years ago they were offered the area at Jordans Courtyard where they are currently based.
