PREPARATIONS are well underway for Ilminster’s contribution to the Macmillan Cancer Support World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.
The event is to be held at The Archie Gooch Pavilion, Canal Way, on Saturday, September 9 from 9.30am until noon.
A tempting array of stalls will be selling everything from bric-a-brac and knick-knacks to cakes, chutney, and jam; there will also be a superb raffle.
The organisers, Angie Blackwell from Cottage Flowers, Shirley Farley, president of Ilminster Lions Club, Julie Fowler, and Annie Roden, are hoping for a bumper turnout.
Julie said: “Most people’s lives have been touched by cancer, whether personally, family member or a friend. This year we are hoping to raise £5,000 so do come along for a coffee, cake, and a chat.”
Contributions to the cake, jam, and chutney stalls are most welcome. For further information contact Julie on 01460 54007.
In addition, donations can be made through this link or this website.
