A SEWING studio will open in Ilminster town centre next month.

Sew What, which will be based on Silver Street, will provide sewing classes and drop-in sessions to its customers from August 5.

The studio will be open on Friday and Saturday, from 9am to 5pm.

Owner Sam Evers said: “I worked on the business plan 10 years ago when I was in Yorkshire. I didn’t quite find the premises then, but things happen, and life changes.

“I picked up the plans and decided to try again. We will have different classes, from beginners to advanced, so people can come in and learn and we will have different things every week.

Chard & Ilminster News:

“We will also do alterations for those who do not want to learn.”

The official opening will take place on Saturday, August 5, from 10am to 4pm.

The studio will provide sewing classes, upcycling, party bookings, and drop-in sessions.

More information will be available on the studio’s website once it will be active by the end of this week.
