FACILITIES at a recreation ground and a play park in Ilminster have been targeted by ‘vandalism’.
The cricket pavilion at the recreation ground was damaged by a fire and graffiti and a light in the public toilets was damaged too.
A picnic bench at Winterhay Play Park was also broken.
The town council also added that the cricket pavilion was already targeted last week.
This morning (Monday, March 6) an Ilminster Town Council spokesperson said: “Not a great Monday morning for the town.
“Vandalism at the cricket pavilion (a fire and graffiti), a broken light at the public toilets at the recreation ground, and a broken picnic bench at Winterhay Play Park.
“The cricket pavilion had already been the target of vandalism last week. If you see anything else happen, call 101, the crime reference no: 5223053300.
“Please could everyone keep an eye out for any anti-social behaviour and report it via 101.”
