Residents of Ilminster joined the rest of the country in celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee on Sunday.
Organised by the Ilminster Rotary Club, the festivities took place on the recreation ground, kicking off at 10am.
Attendees could be seen enjoying the wide range of activities and facilities on offer, including games, live music, and even a dog show.
Even the weather couldn’t dampen any spirits throughout the day, and certainly didn’t stop the community from coming together for an action-packed day, filled with ice cream and smiles.
Local organisations such as the Ilminster Youth Theatre were in attendance with their homemade cake stall, raising money for the Warehouse Theatre Extension Project, and there were special performances from the Wyvern Jubilee Morris Men, and The Diamond Majorettes.
The party marks a wonderful end to a fun-filled Jubilee weekend, celebrating Queen Elizabeth’s 70 years on the throne, and a fantastic effort from the Ilminster Rotary Club and all involved.
